HIGH RISK OPD

Parenthood is very special but it gets complicated and risky for some whenever any element of danger develops.Risk analysis should comprise of an extensive estimation of all compatible medical and circumstantial factors that may influence a woman during pregnancy. The CONSEQUENCES of high risk factors developing at specific GESTATIONAL PERIOD of previous pregnancies can increase a woman’s risk of morbidity or mortality. An increase in the incidence of Placenta Accreta is due to the fact of increased rate of operative deliveries. We have to understand that Placenta Accreta and its impact on the mother due to severe and life threatening haemorrhage causing morbidity, mortality and loss of life has a great role to play in modern obstetrics even today.

Due to lifestyle factors change of traditional food habits, sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy empty calorie food consumption.A common chronic condition associated with an increased risk of maternal morbidity and mortality with the risk of development of other chronic medical conditions, like DVT, Chronic Hypertension etc is OBESITY. Therefore it is essential and empirical that there has to be a dedicated group of physicians ready to take on such special cases.
